Connected IoT Devices

Connected devices refer to the growing network of devices, appliances, and equipment that are connected to the internet and capable of collecting and exchanging data.

Connected devices, also known as Internet of Things (IoT) devices, are a growing network of physical objects that are embedded with sensors, software, and network connectivity, allowing them to collect and exchange data. These devices can range from simple consumer devices like smart thermostats and wearables, to more complex industrial equipment like manufacturing robots and transportation vehicles. While the proliferation of connected devices has brought numerous benefits such as increased efficiency and convenience, it has also introduced new security risks. These devices often have limited processing power and memory, making them vulnerable to cyber attacks and data breaches. Therefore, specialized security controls and technologies, such as encryption, access controls, and secure communications protocols, are required to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information transmitted and stored by these devices.
